Reserves Guidelines

Photocopies

All readers will be available online.

  • All readers placed on reserve must include one hard copy in a binder or three-holed folder. Include a syllabus or reading list of titles.
  • On the Reserves Request Form, do not list individual articles. Hard-copies of readers will be titled: "Professor's Name, Dept., Course Number. Example: Privett: Soc 101 – Readings (Sample Exams, Answer Keys, etc.)
  • Reader hard-copy loan period will be Library Use Only (2 hours).
  • Reader will be available online 24/7.

Article Requirements

  • Hard-copy of each article (reading, exam, poem, answer key, problem set, etc.) shoud be a clear, clean copy with black text, a minimum 0.5" margin, and no folds or tape.
  • Each article needs to have a title page with citation and source of information (location, URL, database, etc.), or this information needs to be included in the syllabus or reading list.
  • Separate each article with a colored sheet of paper, paperclip, or post-it. If you have more than 15 articles, please designate the first three weeks' readings.

Readings for the semester should be brought to the Reserves desk early enough to ensure that they will be available at the beginning of the semester. Reserves will be processed on a first come, first served basis.

Personal materials must be picked up by the end of the semester. All other material will be returned to the library stacks.
