The University of San Francisco will host the third annual Journalism
Innovations conference on campus April 30 through May 2, to share innovative
approaches sweeping the industry.
The three-day conference brings together some of the brightest
minds and most innovative projects to network and share skills and ideas in one
of San Francisco’s most pristine campus settings.
Speaker topics include hyper-local collegiate journalism delivered
via the Web, the influence of tech companies Google, Twitter, and Yahoo! on news
dissemination, news cooperatives, blogging, and more.
Speakers from inside the news and media industry as well as
industries and organization that impact media will present, including USF associate
professors of media studies Dorothy Kidd and Theresa Moore, President of the
Society of Professional Journalism Kevin Smith, and Sacramento Bee reporter Susan
Ferriss.
