Mark Humenik
Adjunct Professor
Mr. Humenik is Vice President and General Counsel of Athletes
First, a sports agency located in Irvine, California. Notable
clients of the firm include Carson Palmer, Ray Lewis, Aaron
Rodgers, Brandon Jacobs, Mark Sanchez, Reggie Wayne, John Lynch,
and Matt Hasselbeck. Mark received his B.B.A. in 1992 from the
University of Notre Dame with a dual concentration in finance and
accountancy, and then his J.D. in 1995 from Case Western Reserve
University School of Law. Over the course of his extensive legal
career, Mark has represented clients involved in litigation before
state and federal courts throughout the United States, while also
serving as lead counsel for clients in a number of private
arbitrations. Mark also represented Athletes First clients in
various legal-related matters, including disciplinary appeals
involving the NFL Commissioner's Office and grievance
hearings arising under the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Mark co-authored Taking Off the Gloves: The Return of Hard
Bargaining Tactics to the Collective Bargaining Arena.
