Michael Lorenzen
Adjunct Faculty
Mr. Lorenzen is the principal and founder of the CASA Group,
which is a consultancy dedicated to providing strategy consulting
to intercollegiate athletic administrators. He is a regular
contributor to businessofcollegesports.com and writes, blogs and
publishes on the subjects of team-building and leadership. Prior to
starting his consulting business, he was involved in
intercollegiate athletics as a coach at the Division II and
Division I levels and spent six years as the president of the
national coaches' association for collegiate
women's gymnastics. Mike also spent nearly four years
working for Bain and Company doing strategy consulting for fortune
500 companies in the US and Mexico.
Mike received his MA in International Relations from Yale
University in 1989 and received his Doctor of Education from the
University of the Pacific in 2010.
