Jennifer Polyocan

Adjunct Professor, Dance

Jennifer received her training at the School of American Ballet and with Nancy Bielski at the David Howard School of Dance. After graduating from Professional Children's School in NYC, she joined the Miami City Ballet. Jennifer then joined Wes Chapman's Alabama Ballet and later the Washington Ballet. She has performed title roles in ballets such as Coppelia and Giselle and has performed principal and soloist roles in works by Antony Tudor, Nacho Duato, Septime Webre, Kirk Peterson and Dwight Rhoden. She has been the ballet mistress for Massachusetts Youth Ballet and American Academy of Ballet. She has taught ballet at ODC and MoBu in San Francisco, and has been on the faculty at University of California, Berkeley. Jennifer is a graduate of New College of California with a degree in Arts and Social Change, and is a certified Alexander Technique practitioner with a private practice in San Francisco. Her curiosity and joy for dance continues to evolve and grow over time.
