Matthew Saylor, Sergeant First Class (SFC)

Military Science Instructor

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Matthew T. Saylor, Military Science Instructor, is a highly decorated military officer who is committed to teaching his students the difference between management and leadership. He received his military education at Ft. Knox, Ft. Benning, Ft. Polk and Ft. Carson. He has served overseas as Bradley Commander, Section Leader, Operations Non-Commissioned Officer and Platoon Sergeant during Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003-2004, 2006, 2010-2011 and as a Security Forces Advisory Team NCOIC during Operation Enduring Freedom 2012-2013. He is the recipient of over 35 commendations and high honor awards, including two Bronze Star Medals.

SFC Saylor's courses combine management and leadership skills, and help students develop the qualities necessary for success in either a military or civilian career. Instructor Saylor sees the program as a valuable opportunity for students to ensure a solid future by simultaneously earning their college degree and an Army Officer's commission. Army ROTC cadets are taught to be leaders and are provided hands-on experience in managing physical, financial, and human resources.

A native of Woodland, California, SFC Matthew T. Saylor enlisted in March 1999. He is married to Amy Saylor.
