Look up the USF site for information >>	GAETANI REALTY       Located at 4444 Geary in San Francisco’s Richmond District, Gaetani Realty holds an important place in this neighborhood and in this neighborhood's history. The late Tony Gaetani founded this company in 1946 and initially ran the operation out of an apartment on 7th avenue. It was not long before other small locations were needed to manage the clientele of this successful company. Wanting to keep the business within the family, Tony handed the reins over to his two sons, Tony Jr. and Charlie. This proved to be a successful union, one that remained intact until 1988 when Charlie bought out both his father and his brother to become owner of this leading property management company in the city. This was a defining moment in the history of the business. Charlie Gaetani began by employing people with intelligence and a strong work ethic, along with honesty and solid family values. With such a foundation, the business has remained strong and unassailable throughout the years. Currently, Gaetani Realty employs 12 people. Each of them was hand picked and they all work together in a very solid and supportive environment. This environment has been shaped by many things along the way. There is a great sense of culture here. A good work ethic stems from the Italian community which Tony Gaetani was a part of. This has remained a back bone for the company. Charlie Gaetani, who graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1972, is also a firm believer that if your set your goals high and get even half way, you are a winner. Gaetani Realty certainly has "won" over many San Francisco residents. Charlie Gaetani gets an amazing amount of business from word of mouth advertising. In addition, he is a member of various associations throughout the city which have created a strong networking base for his company. The business is also moving along quite smoothly with the technological age. Computers are an integral part of this business, allowing for amazing developments in property management. Although the economy has changed in San Francisco throughout the years, this business has not faltered. Property management is a service Industry, one that is becoming more complex. In line with the service aspect, Charlie has found that his customers want him to trust them and likewise, he prefers that he has property owners that let him do his job. Charlie Gaetani wants to keep this business in the family. The close-knit family values that started the business have remained. These values are something he is not willing to sacrifice. The industry is undoubtedly becoming more complex and professional. Even now, Charlie Gaetani must employ the qualities of a salesman, a technician and a friend to his clientele. Gaetani Realty, however, with a staff that is rooted in solid earth, filled with morality and faith, does not waver. Honesty runs this business, for without it, says Gaetani, you can get nowhere. This honesty is no more apparent than in Charlie Gaetani himself, a man who runs Gaetani Realty with the same reliability and open communication that existed when the doors opened in 1946.
