2013 Commencement General Information

All ceremonies take place in St. Ignatius Church, located at 650 Parker Avenue at the corner of Fulton Street, San Francisco.  

Grad Finale

Location: Zief Library, Terrace Room

Dates: Friday April 12, 2013 (10am - 6pm)  & Saturday, April 13, 2013 (10am - 12pm)

This is a drop-in event where graduating students will have an opportunity to pick up their ceremony tickets, commencement information, Alumni Graduates Dinner invitation and regalia.

Graduation Day-Information for Graduates

Graduates must arrive with regalia and name card (distributed during Grad Finale) by 8:00 a.m. in the atrium of Gleeson Library. (No guests are allowed in this area.) At 8:10 a.m., graduates must assemble in front of Gleeson Library (south side) for the group graduating photo. The class group photo will be available for viewing and purchase after graduation. Graduates will receive pre-ceremonial directions and will line up for the ceremonial procession. You may walk and be seated with friends by taking a place in line either in front of or directly behind them. Leave personal possessions with family and friends. There will be no storage for personal items.

Procession

The procession to St. Ignatius Church starts at 8:50 a.m. Faculty, speakers, and commencement dignitaries/other participants follow the graduating class in the commencement procession into St. Ignatius Church.

Conferral of Degrees

Graduates are called forward to the stage at which time they will present their name card to the marshal stationed at the podium. After your name is announced, proceed to the center of the dais to receive a scroll from University President Father Stephen Privett and Dean Jeffrey Brand. Exit the stage and return to your seat.

Photos

GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Proofs will be sent to your home and via email within three to five days after graduation. Pictures can be ordered online, by phone or by mail. Graduation Images can be contacted at 800-261-2576 or via email at www.gradimages.com.

Registering your graduate with GradImages provides them with the information they need to deliver your graduation proofs to you in a timely manner. Giving them an accurate mailing address and email address will allow them to get your proofs to you on the first try. You may also provide them with email addresses of up to six friends and family members to allow them to celebrate in the accomplishment.
