M. Kamran Meyer

Adjunct Professor

M. Kamran Meyer is a practicing criminal defense attorney and the assistant director of the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Law Clinic. He previously served as a civil mediator and discriminatory lending investigator with the Fair Housing Council of Orange County, and has clerked with the Office of the San Francisco Public Defender and San Francisco-based Prisoner Legal Services. Prior to establishing his own practice, Meyer served as a staff attorney at a San Francisco law firm specializing in state and federal criminal defense and civil rights litigation. He is an active member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the American Civil Liberties Union Lawyers Council, and the Civil Rights Committee of the South Asian Bar Association. He provides pro-bono representation for persons arrested in the course of protest activities through the demonstrations committee of the National Lawyers Guild.
