JD Certificates

Recognizing the increasing need for specialization in legal education and practice, the USF School of Law offers certificate programs in the following areas: Business Law, Intellectual Property and Technology Law, International and Comparative Law, and Public Interest Law.

Certificate programs give students the opportunity to pursue a curricular concentration as part of the general JD Program while developing the skills and specialized knowledge for legal careers in these four areas. Successful completion of a certificate program represents significant expertise in the area of study, and can also demonstrate to potential employers a student's commitment to the practice area. Upon successful completion of the JD and certificate requirements, the certificate will be noted on a student's official transcript and a student may indicate their certificate on their resume or CV.
