Public Use Multi-Functional Printer/Copier (MFP)
The University's campus wide Copy/Print Program provides self-service Public Use and Department dedicated multi-functional printer/copier (mfp) devices to assist the university community in achieving their primary copying and printing needs and objectives.   As of August 2013, there are currently 50 active Public Use devices on campus, including most Distributed Campuses and Residence Halls.  At select locations, the scan-to-USB feature is available.

Through the collaborative efforts of PAAS, One Card, and ITS; public use devices have been upgraded with the Pharos Uniprint software that opens up additional features for the USF campus such: (i) Monochrome and color copying and printing on a single device; (ii) Ability to wirelessly send print jobs from your computer with secure release at any of Pharos Public Use mfp/copier on campus; (iii) Informed Print - Cost preview prior to job release at computer & device; (iv) Increase network and system security; (v) Authentication using your USF One Card ID or typing your USF username & password at the device screen.

Student Employees

Due to financial account and system security, student employees are not granted open access to department FOAP(AL)'s on his/her USF ID card. A SE Copy/Print Card is issued to the Department for student employee use for business related activity. To get started, the Department Supervisor or Budget Manager should complete a SE Copy/Print Card Request Form and submit it to purchasing@usfca.edu

or via Campus Mail to Purchasing-HHLL.

Faculty and Staff

EMPLOYEES WITH AN ACTIVE BANNER ROLE AND USF ID CARD
Below are references for Full-time and Part-Time Faculty and Staff, in addition to Adjunct Faculty with active Banner roles and USF ID cards:


*Pharos Client Software: ITS pushes the Pass-through version (username and password prompt not required after initial set up) on most university-owned hardware that are assigned to faculty and staff. If you would like this version on an additional computer, please contact ITS Help Desk at 415-422-6668 or itshelp@usfca.edu. Or download Pharos client software - Challenge version. This version will require you to authenticate with a username and password every time you send a file to print.

EMPLOYEES WITHOUT AN ACTIVE BANNER ROLE AND USF ID CARD

For Adjunct Faculty members who do not have an active Banner role and USF ID card, however require copy/print/scan functionalities prior to Banner activation/start date, a Adjunct Copy/Print Card can be requested. To get started, the Department Budget Manager should complete an Adjunct Copy/Print Card Request Form and submit it to purchasing@usfca.edu

Note to Budget Manager: Adjunct Copy/Print Cards will be deactivated on the faculty member's start date. Please return inactive cards to Purchasing & Ancillary Services (HHLL).

ZIEF LAW LIBRARY
Step 1: Visit the 1st floor Main Circulation Desk to obtain a Guest Copy/Print Card. You will be asked to provide your first/last name and email address, in exchange for a 1-Day USF username/password which will allow you to access the USF network for printing and to pay for copy/print jobs. Step 2: Add value to the Copy/Print Card by visiting USF One Card Don$ system Please note: A minimum of $5 is required to add funds.


GLEESON LIBRARY
Step 1: Visit the 1st floor Main Circulation Desk.
a) If you only need to copy/print/scan, request for a Guest Copy/Print Card. If you need to print, you will directed to ITS Help Desk to obtain a temporary username and password to access the USF network at a computer lab and/or your personal computer.
b) If you are also borrowing books/materials, make the request to be a "Library Borrower". You will be directed to One Card to obtain a USF Library Borrower ID. If you need to print, you will directed to ITS Help Desk to obtain a temporary username and password to access the USF network at a computer lab and/or your personal computer. Step 3: To send a print job from your computer and release at any of Pharos Public Use device, you will need to successfully download and install the Pharos client software.

Step 1: Obtain a Guest Copy/print Card at the USF One Card Office located at 2800 Turk Blvd, SF - Lone Mountain Main 130).
For printing, you will need access into the USF network. Visit the ITS Help Desk at Lone Mountain North 2nd Floor to request a guest username and password.
