English as a Second Language

In addition to the ESL courses listed below that are offered for matriculated students, the ESL Program offers non-credit English courses for international students. The intensive program offers 20-26 hours of instruction per week for individuals interested in improving their English skills for academic, professional, or personal reasons. The courses offered are Grammar, Academic Reading and Writing, Academic Oral Communication, TOEFL Preparation, Pronouncing American English, and Special Topics. The Intensive program is offered year-round and has open enrollment. Individuals with intermediate and advanced proficiency levels are accepted.
