Service-learning is a Core Curriculum requirement for all undergraduate students at USF. Besides fulfilling a requirement, however, there are many benefits for students doing service-learning:

- Enhance critical thinking skills as service applies course concepts and theory to real world problem-solving situations
- Enhance moral/ethical development
