Hui O Hawai'i 51st Annual Hō'ike

This event will showcase our club's dedication and appreciation of the arts of Hula and ‘Ori Tahiti as we celebrate our 51st Hōʻike titled: E Mahalo Kākou I Ka Mea Loa’a (“Let us be thankful for what we have”). Enjoy some ‘ono food (buffet-style!) while watching unforgettable performances by our very talented club members, Kumu Marlo and his halau (Te Mau Tamari`i a Tiare / Nā Kamali`i a Kiele), and special guest performers. Please join us with an open heart and empty stomach! Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the show begins at 6pm.
Who is Hui O Hawai’i? Hui O Hawai’i is a cultural organization that observes and appreciates Hawaiian culture and Tahitian culture in efforts to promote the Aloha Spirit and the concept of 'Ohana (family). Hui O Hawai’i is a space for both students from the Polynesian islands and elsewhere to come together and familiarize themselves with a new culture while preserving where we are from. Whilst, Hui O Hawai’i encourages the USF community to embrace and share the Hawaiian way of life. Throughout the year, Hui O Hawai’i expresses the Aloha spirit and its rich diversity through cultural, social and educational events. Culminating every year is a Lūʻau celebration showcasing culture through entertainment, music, dance and culturally-inspired food. For more information, follow @usfhuiohawaii on Instagram.
