PASJ Presents: "We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!"

PASJ is proud to present We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! —a comedy of hunger by Italian playwright Dario Fo about the working class and capitalism— In this play production, we draw from slapstick comedy, Commedia dell‘Arte, and circus as an homage to clown provocateurs like Fo, Charlie Chaplin, Lucille Ball, and Cantinflas. After being banned in the US, the San Francisco Mime Troupe presented the We Won’t Pay! American premiere in 1970. We proudly bring this show home as high living costs are synonymous with the city, and banning literature is the national norm. Come one, come all to a raucous night of buffoonery and consciousness!
