Dr. Interian, an associate professor in the Master’s in Data Science program at USF, brings a wealth of experience in applied mathematics, data science, and machine learning. She has held roles as a data scientist at Google and co-founded Akualab, a startup specializing in machine intelligence. Dr. Interian has also contributed to designing data science courses at USF and UC Berkeley.

In this session, Dr. Interian will take us through the exciting world of Natural Language Processing (NLP), a key area of AI that allows machines to understand, analyze, and generate human language. She will focus on the Hugging Face API, one of the most powerful tools for a wide range of NLP tasks, including text classification, sentiment analysis, summarization, translation, and more.
