USF Celebrates Graduates at Dec. 13 Commencement

The 166th commencement ceremonies for the School of Management, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Nursing and Health Professions will be held Dec. 13 in St. Ignatius Church on the USF campus, and 703 graduates will receive degrees.

The day begins with a commencement Mass at 9:30 a.m., celebrated by President Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J. Tickets are not required to attend the Mass, although they are required for commencement ceremonies.

The first commencement is at noon for 93 graduates of the School of Management. USF Trustee Faisal Shah JD ’86, founder and chair of Tracer AI in Boise, Idaho, will address the graduates.

The College of Arts and Sciences ceremony takes place at 3 p.m., and USF Trustee Patrick McNicholas ’83, partner in the Los Angeles law firm McNicholas & McNicholas, will address 279 graduates.

At 6 p.m., commencement will begin for 331 graduates of the School of Nursing and Health Professions. Dean Eileen K. Fry-Bowers, a nursing and public health leader who is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, a Navy veteran, and a member of the state bar of California with experience in law and health policy, is the commencement speaker.

USF will award 402 undergraduate degrees, 295 master’s degrees, and 18 doctoral degrees, with some students receiving multiple degrees as members of dual-degree programs.

All ceremonies will be streamed on USFs website and YouTube. In addition, overflow seating will be available in Cowell Hall 106/107.
