USF Shines in U.S. News Rankings

In the U.S. News & World Report 2025 rankings released today, USF places No. 1 for diversity, in the top 3 percent for nursing, and in the top 25 percent overall.

In the report, USF ranks:

  • No. 109 among national universities, in the top 25 percent and a rise of six spots from last year
  • No. 1 for campus ethnic diversity, tied with Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, and Andrews University
  • No. 59 for social mobility, in the top 15 percent and a rise of 11 spots
  • No. 114 for undergraduate business, in the top 25 percent and a rise of 21 spots
  • In undergraduate nursing, USF ranks No. 19 out of 686 programs — in the top 3 percent nationwide and a leap of 48 spots.

    In two new undergraduate rankings categories, USF ranks 18th in entrepreneurship and 26th in marketing. USF also placed No. 88 for Best Value Schools and No. 159 in the Best College for Veterans category.

    “I'm glad to see USF rise in several key rankings — especially for social mobility,” said Eileen Fung, provost and vice president of academic affairs. “We not only equip students to succeed in their chosen careers, we inspire them to explore, engage, and work for positive change in the world.”
