The University of San Francisco achieved its Giving Tuesday goal for 2024 thanks to 345 USF community members who generously donated to help drive meaningful change in the lives of USF students and at the university collectively.

Engaged Learning

On November 15, 2024, USF Law, in collaboration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), hosted a daylong event examining the evolution of name, image, and likeness (NIL) laws for student-athletes. USF Law Dean Johanna Kalb welcomed attendees and reflected on the “revolutionary” changes to NCAA policy and the implications for “college athletics, for schools, for the athletes themselves, and for the fans who support them.”

Alumni

Laura Euphrat ʼ89 co-founded the non-profit, Little Wishes, in 2003 to help brighten the days of children experiencing hospital care. The organization has granted over 30,000 wishes and works with 39 hospitals nationwide.

Paul S. Flores, adjunct professor of performing arts and social justice, has won the 2024 American Book Award for his debut collection of poetry, We Still Be: Poems and Performances.

Equipped to Lead and Succeed

Fabiola Pardo Garcia ‘25 speaks four languages, serves as forum editor of USF Law Review, is Graduation Chair and Vice President of the Latinx Law Student Association, and as a 2L, tutored Academic Support Program 1Ls. Given her multiple passions and activities, it’s no surprise that the third-year law student has also tested the waters with a range of legal fields.
