The community’s founder, Damaryon Benton, sat down with MAPC for an interview about his journey in PR and how he helps young professionals.
Damaryan Benton, an Account Executive at Anomaly, is a talented public relations professional who is not only building a successful career but also actively paving the way for the next generation of communicators. Benton's interest in PR blossomed early on. "As a kid, I could talk the ears off of anyone who'd listen," he recalls. This natural talent, nurtured by opportunities at the Boys & Girls Club, ignited his desire to use his voice to inspire and inform.
Recognizing the challenges faced by young professionals entering the often-exclusive world of PR, Benton founded The PR Habitat. This vibrant community serves as a lifeline for aspiring communicators, providing invaluable resources, fostering meaningful connections, and amplifying the voices of Gen Z professionals. "I know how isolating this space can feel," he explains.
