Immigration Policy Clinic
From the border to Dreamers, to healthcare for undocumented immigrants — immigration policy is at the forefront of U.S. political debate.
As a student in the Immigration Policy Clinic, you'll analyze changes to immigration policy, prepare resources for those impacted by it, and provide direct assistance in special cases.
Make a Difference
Guided by nationally recognized immigration experts, you'll work on projects that challenge you to think critically, act compassionately, and make an impact. Imagine yourself:
- Conducting Know Your Rights presentations for Bay Area residents.
- Assisting lawmakers in developing immigration legislation.
- Representing clients seeking post-conviction relief to avoid deportation.
- Developing resources for immigrant communities in underserved areas, from East Oakland to African migrant populations nationwide.
- Working with migrant youth in San Francisco juvenile court and clients suffering from PTSD.
- Assisting detainees appealing their cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals, in partnership with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network.
